LADY looks stands on front step of house, looks up to the sky and smiles at
sunshine (thunder rumbles, sky clouds over) she looks sad again

OLD
LADY sitting on park bench alone, trying to entice ducks with bread crumbs;
ducks waddle past her but one duck approaches and she looks hopeful; instead of
taking the breadcrumbs, he steals her sandwich out of her bag

OLD
LADY sits alone and hungry (tummy rumbles)looking extremely forlorn

LADY gets excited as she hears an ice-cream van. She takes out her purse, which
has a €1 coin in it

LADY slowly walks up to the van (€1 for ice-cream sign on it)
Just
as she approaches the window a MAN enters from right, cuts in front of her,
knocking her €1 coin out of her hand CUTS TO CLOSE-UP OF

Coin
falling down a drain

EXT. PARK
OLD
LADY is annoyed as she looks at back of man as he buys an ice-cream, his wallet
is sticking out of his back pocket. MAN turns facing her as he slurps his
ice-cream and walks away

TO CLOSE-UP

OLD
LADY once again looks despondent
FADES
TO

EXT. BUS STOP
Bus
zooms past from right to left in front of a bus stop. OLD LADY, SMALL GIRL
(holding teddy her bear's hand) and GIRL'S MOTHER (her face is not in shot) are
sitting at bus stop. SMALL GIRL stares at OLD LADY who looks back at SMALL GIRL
and smiles.
CUT
TO EXTREME CLOSE-UP

BUS STOP
SMALL
GIRL starts poking OLD LADY in the cheek and sticks out her tongue at her as
OLD LADY looks sad and shocked
ZOOMS
OUT

EXT.BUS STOP
SMALL
GIRL starts to cry as though she is scared of OLD LADY. GIRL'S MOTHER puts her
arm around her and pulls her close as she lets go of teddy's hand. Bus passes
from left to right in front on camera
15.EXT.
BUS STOP
SMALL
GIRL is still crying as OLD LADY sadly looks straight ahead. The teddy has
disappeared

INT. KITCHEN
OLD
LADY is sitting alone at kitchen table
ZOOMS
IN TO CLOSE-UP

she
looks extremely sad and sighs deeply, then smiles and looks under the table.
She hauls up her bag onto the table, takes out the SMALL GIRL'S teddy bear from
it and smiles at the camera. Then she removes a wallet from her bag and opens
it

LASY'S P.O.V

INT. KITCHEN
Close-up
of wallet reveals the MAN from the park's driver's license, cash and credit
cards. (OLD LADY laughs heartily)

OF KITCHEN TABLE

LADY pulls out a dead duck (the one that stole her sandwich) and licks her lips
FADES

LADY is still sitting at the table, teddy is propped up beside her, they each
have a plate in front of them (DING! sound) OLD LADY looks excited
CUTS TO
LONG SHOT OF KITCHEN

KITCHEN
OLD
LADY is behind the table with her back to camera as she reaches into the oven.
She turns to table placing a roast duck onto it

TO CLOSE-UP

LADY carves duck and places meat on teddy's plate and on hers
FADES

INT. KITCHEN
OLD
LADY looks happy and full with an empty plate in front of her (ICE-CREAM VAN
sound can be heard). OLD LADY picks up MAN'S wallet, as she laughs and winks at
the camera
