Supporting actors!
Teddy
Ducks on grass (a mixture of bron paint with clay/dirt from real garden was used to create dirt surface on a canvas and green plasticine added for grass effect)
Wire armatures covered in super light, air drying clay; I used a similar armature for the teddy
Props, props, props!!
Smaller props made with Super Sculpey. Firstly, they are baked
in the oven to harden and then painted. Props included various kitchen implements and appliances along with Euro coins, cone for ice-cream (ice-cream itself made from plasticine as character will bite off bits)
Wallet and purse made out of plasticine. Driver's licence created in Photoshop and printed out. Money hand drawn on bits of paper. Cook book is an actual miniature book with new cover created in Photoshop glued on

Old lady's bag, needed to be big (so she won't have to bend down to pick it up, and so that all of the props she will collect will look like they could fit in her bag) I padded out the middle of the bag so it would be lighter. The wheels are made out of super sculpey

Characters-Phase Two- refining and improving
I fattened and rounded the face and padded out his body, adding a coat for consistency with clothes worn by other characters. Also, I added pockets to the coat, enabling easier placement of his wallet (will protrude from pocket to catch Old Lady's eye)
Younger looking girl character, more innocent and cuter looking (will add more of a surprise when she treats the Old Lady nastily) I had to cut the wire in the arms and legs to shorten her which may affect how she animates, particularly the arms
Early stages of development of bus stop

Updated characters
Characters-phase one
First attempt at little girl character; I was happy with her naughty look and how the jacket turned out but she looked much too old, particularly to have a teddy with her
Basis for man character, still needs bulking out to make him greedier looking
Three Characters together as a size comparison

Set Building continued!
Paper Mache to build texture for hedges, which I then painted with acryllics
Making the park bench with wire and lollipop sticks before again painting and adding clay for stability at the bottom
The ice-cream van using cardboard boxes and plastic mushroom trays I paper-mached together to create the shape. Painted, then added real pictures of wheels and created posters for it in Photoshop (see later picture)
Kitchen cupboards, cooker and fridge with cardboard and paper mache
prints of a lino texture glued to floor
Tiling the wall using painted cut out pieces
Adding real wood textures to the cupboards gave a much more realistic look to the kitchen
Also real print out of the oven door gives a greater sense of depth
